Windows Built for Oak Hills' Elevation and Weather
Oak Hills sits at about 3,800 feet, just north of the Cajon Summit and southwest of Hesperia. That extra elevation makes a real difference. Winter nights are colder than in Victorville, wind comes through the pass with force, and summer sun still bakes the west-facing walls of every home. Windows here have to handle all of it.
The community of roughly 9,500 residents is known for larger lots, custom homes, horse properties, and a quieter, rural feel. Many Oak Hills homes were built one at a time rather than as tract developments, which means window sizes and styles vary a lot from house to house. We measure every opening individually and often recommend full-frame or custom-size Milgard units when the original windows were non-standard.
Oak Hills homeowners also invest heavily in their interiors, and we install a lot of frameless shower enclosures, mirrored walls, and custom glass in the area.
Common Oak Hills Glass Projects
- Custom-size replacement windows. Accurately measured Milgard windows for custom homes with non-standard openings.
- Wind and dust sealing. Tight-sealing vinyl windows and sliders that stop drafts and dust blowing in through the pass.
- Large patio doors. Sliding glass doors that open up to mountain and desert views without leaking heat.
- Bath and gym glass. Frameless shower enclosures and floor-to-ceiling mirrors for home gyms and primary baths.

Oak Hills Window and Glass FAQs
How close are you to Oak Hills?
Very close. Our showroom and shop at 10750 I Avenue in Hesperia is only a short drive from most Oak Hills homes, so we can measure, deliver, and install quickly. We serve all of Oak Hills, including properties near Oak Hills High School and the areas toward the Cajon Pass. Call (760) 983-7994.
What windows hold up best to Oak Hills wind and cold?
We recommend dual-pane Milgard vinyl windows with Low-E glass and argon fill for Oak Hills. Vinyl frames resist warping, the insulated glass handles freezing nights and hot afternoons, and quality weatherstripping helps block wind and dust. We match the specific Milgard series to your home's exposure and budget.
My Oak Hills custom home has odd-size windows. Can you replace them?
Yes. Many Oak Hills homes have non-standard openings. We measure every window in person and order custom-size Milgard units built to fit. When an opening is out of square or the frame is damaged, we may recommend full-frame replacement instead of a retrofit install.
How much do replacement windows cost in Oak Hills?
Most vinyl retrofit windows we install in Oak Hills run about $600 to $1,500 per window installed, depending on size, style, product line, and glass. Custom sizes and full-frame installs can cost more. We give every homeowner a free, itemized quote after measuring in person.
Do you install shower doors and mirrors in Oak Hills?
Yes. We design and install frameless and semi-frameless shower enclosures, custom bathroom mirrors, and mirrored walls for home gyms throughout Oak Hills. Every piece of glass is custom measured, and shower glass is tempered safety glass for durability and peace of mind.
